This recipe is for yummy and sweet Croatian donuts.
Sift flour into a bowl.
Add egg yolks, raisins, salt, 3 1/3 tbsp sugar, butter, grated lemon rind and 1 2/3 tbsp brandy.
In new bowl, dissolve the yeast in 2/5 cup (100 ml) milk and 2 tablespoons sugar.
Cover and let sit for 5 minutes.
Add the yeast mixture to the flour and mix.
Let it rest for about 30 minutes.
Preheat oil in a deep pan to 365F.
With a teaspoon, spoon out dough and drop it into the hot oil.
Fry on all sides, until golden.
Careful use long tongs to remove them to a paper towel to drain excess fat.
Finish donuts by drizzling with brandy and granulated sugar.
