Tandoori Chicken Skewers Recipe

A delicious appetizer or perfect for a main dish served with rice.

Ingredients

Serves 2

2 chicken breasts
3/4 cup yogurt
1 Tablespoon ginger, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1/8 teaspoon of red chilli powder (optional)
salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound to 1/2-inch thick.

Slice each chicken breast into 6 narrow strips.

In a shallow dish mix together yogurt, ginger, garlic, cumin coriander, garam masala, red chili powder, salt and pepper. Mix well.

Transfer chicken to the sauce and mix to coat.

Marinate chicken in all the ingredients for at least 2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.

Soak 12 wooden skewers in water for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Poke marinated chicken onto skewers.

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and a wire rack.

Place chicken skewers onto the wire rack.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping half way and broiling for the last 5 minutes.
