Hawaiian Hamburger Recipe

This easy Hawaiian hamburger recipe is topped with tasty grilled pineapple slices. The perfect flavors for a summer barbecue.

Ingredients

1/2 cup honey
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon ginger powder
2 lbs extra lean ground beef
2 Tablespoons fresh minced garlic
2 green onions, finely chopped
black pepper
2 teaspoons salt

1/4 cup Bragg's (or soy) sauce
8 slices of fresh pineapple rings

To serve (optional):
8 buns
Lettuce
Tomatoes
mayo/mustard/ketchup

(Serves 8)

Directions

In a large mix together the honey, cinnamon, ginger and paprika.

Add in the ground beef with minced garlic, green onions, black pepper and salt; mix to combine.

Use clean hands to shape 1 inch patties - makes about 8.

Transfer the patties to a large plate and cover with foil or plastic wrap.

Ideally, let them refrigerate for 3-4 hours.

Over medium-high heat, grill the burger patties, brushing on Braggs (or soy) sauce while cooking.

You will want to grill for about 7 minutes on each side.

Grill the pineapples at the end for 2-3 minutes on each side.

Eat just as is, or top on a bun with all the fixins'.
