Dark Chocolate Brownies Recipe

This dark chocolate brownie recipe make a 9 by 9 inch pan of delicious, easy and quick to make dessert. Fresh from the oven the brownies are tasty with or without garnish and ice cream.

Ingredients

Brownie
1 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour

Frosting
1 cup dark chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup milk
Pinch salt
2 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Caramel Sauce

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup whipping cream
4 Tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon vanilla

Chopped walnuts

Serves 6 - 8

Directions

Preheat oven to 375F.

Grease a 9 inch square pan with oil.

In a small pot melt chocolate and butter, stirring until smooth. Add vanilla and mix in. Set to cool.

Beat together eggs, sugar, and salt, until thickened. Add melted chocolate and mix until well incorporated. Stir in flour until its incorporated

Bake for 30 - 35 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Set to cool.

Frosting

Melt butter, chocolate, milk and salt in a small pot on low heat. Set to cool. Beat cooled melted chocolate, sugar, and vanilla until well incorporated. Spread over top of cooled brownies.

Caramel Sauce

Mix the brown sugar, cream, and butter in a saucepan over low heat.

Stir while cooking, for about 5 minutes, until the sauce thickens.

Add the vanilla and cook another minute.

Leave to cool at least 30 minutes.

Spread chopped walnuts over frosting, and then drizzle caramel sauce. Serve and enjoy
