Chicken Tacos Recipe

These chicken tacos are seasoned with garlic and spice. Adjust heat to your own preference.

Ingredients

1 cup buttermilk
3-4 Tablespoons hot pepper sauce
6 large garlic cloves, finely chopped
6 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into chicken strips

Coating
1 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/4-1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

6-12 hard shell tacos
1 cup shredded lettuce
4 diced tomatoes
Salsa
Sour cream
(Serves 6)

Directions

In a medium bowl combine the buttermilk with hot pepper sauce and chopped garlic; add in the cut chicken strips and turn to coat with the buttermilk mixture.

Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.

When the hour is up,in a shallow dish combine all the spices.

Remove the breasts from the buttermilk allowing any excess to drip off.

Coat the chicken in the spices.

Heat oil in the skillet over medium heat (using enough oil to to about 1/2 inch or more up the skillet.

Cook the chicken strips about 6-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through.

Assembly

Optional* Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. and place taco shells on a cookie sheet. Warm shells for 5 minutes before loading up and serving.

Serve tacos with all the fixins'.
