Apple Lime Ice Tea Recipe

Refreshing and delicious Apple Lime Ice Tea.

Ingredients

4-5 bags of tea ( Ceylon and Keenmum teas work best as they don’t turn cloudy when left to sit)
4 cups water
2 cinnamon sticks
4 cups clear apple juice
2 limes, sliced
*Optional - Honey or sugar to taste
Ice Cubes

Directions

Place 2 cinnamon sticks into 4 cups of water in a small pot and bring the water to a boil.

Turn off the heat and add the teabags.

Let the teabags steep for 5 minutes, then remove the tea bags. This will be very strong tea.

Let it cool down for about 10 minutes then transfer to a pitcher.

Add the apple juice to the tea mixture. Do a taste test.

If you decide you want the tea to be sweeter, this is a good time to do it, although the apple juice is already naturally sweet and has a great flavor. Just boil 1/2 cup water and add what you think is the right amount of honey or sugar to the hot water that you feel will be the right amount to suit your taste. Add the sweetened water to the apple/tea and stir in.

Add one of the sliced limes to the mixture.

Put into the refrigerator and let sit for several hours or overnight.

To serve, first fill a glass about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way with ice, then pour in the apple lime ice tea. Garnish with a lime slice.
