Ingredients

2 cups applesauce
1 Tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 Tablespoon butter, melted to grease the pan

(Homemade applesauce)

Directions

For those that don't have a food dehydrator, you can still make your own fruit leather in the oven.

Preheat the oven to 150 degrees F.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix together the applesauce, honey and cinnamon.

You can make this from your own applesauce if you have it.

Use a pastry brush to paint a very thin layer of melted butter onto the parchment paper.

Spread the applesauce mixture into a very thin layer on the prepared sheet.

Place into the oven and leave the door open a crack.

Dehydrate for 6-8 hours.

Remove from the oven, slide the parchment paper onto a cooling rack with the fruit leather. Flip over, so you can peel off the parchment paper.

Use a sharp knife to cut into strips.

For those that do have a food dehydrator you can do the apple leather there.
