Fish Burgers Recipe

These fried fish burgers are filled with flavor and this recipe comes with a delicious creamy herb sauce.

Ingredients

For the sauce
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup basil leaves, minced
1/4 cup fresh parsley leaves, minced
1/4 cup green onion, chopped fine
1 clove garlic, minced
salt

For the burgers
1 pound white fish, chopped in chunks
1 egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 lime, zest of
1 finely chili pepper, chopped (optional)
3 teaspoons ground coriander
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
salt
2 Tablespoons green onions, chopped
2 Tablespoons parsley, chopped
1 cup carrot, grated
olive oil for cooking

4 brioche buns, cut in half
4 leaves green lettuce
4 slices tomato

Directions

For the sauce, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, basil, parsley, green onion, garlic and salt. Mix until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning, if necessary. Transfer to the refrigerator.

For the burgers, in the bowl of a food processor, combine the fish, egg, breadcrumbs, zest, chili pepper, coriander, ginger, salt, green onions and the parsley.

Process using the pulse button, until the mixture becomes a loose paste. Be careful not to over- process.

Transfer the fish mixture to a medium bowl.

Add the grated carrots and mix until well combined.

Allow the fish mixture to sit for 15 minutes to firm slightly.

Using clean hands, divide the fish mixture into 4 even portions and form into patties.

Lightly grease your grill and preheat to approximately 350ºF.

Lightly brush a small amount of olive oil onto the patties and gently place them on the hot grill.

Grill patties for 3 minutes on each side, until cooked through and lightly browned.

Serve fish patties on the brioche bun with lettuce, tomato and the previously made sauce.
